New Carpool procedures 

Student safety is our top priority.  Because of this, we are making some changes to our carpool procedures that will take effect on Monday, August 31. The biggest change will be that our buses will pick up and drop off in front of the school and our carpool line will run in what was formerly the bus loop.  This means that ALL drop-off and pick-up traffic will pass through the carpool lane. Please read the procedures below and be aware that you may need to leave extra time for your commute during our transition to this new procedure.   
 

• During drop-off and pick-up, you will now enter the carpool lane (formerly the bus loop) and pull forward until the car in front of you stops. Please do not pick up children until you have reached the place where we have indicated on the sidewalk in the loading section of the carpool lane. This is a huge safety issue.

• Students need to enter and exit the vehicle from the passenger side of the car to ensure safety.

• There is NO PARKING in the carpool lane. You MUST stay in your vehicle at ALL times.

• If you wish to escort your student to his/her class lineup area, please park in the parking lot and walk them to their lineup spot. Students are discouraged from  walking in the parking lot unless they are escorted by a parent or guardian.

• Please use extreme caution when pulling in and out of the carpool lane, and adhere to instructions from all crossing guards and school personnel.  

• For your studentsâ?? safety, please do not use cellphones while in the carpool lane.  

• Please do not drop off anywhere but the carpool lane.

• Please be patient as we implement our new system.
